Varsity Community Association
|
The Varsity Community is located in northwest Calgary between
Crowchild Trail, 32nd Avenue and the escarpment
overlooking the Bow River valley and the neighbouring communities
of Bowness and Montgomery. The district is well serviced by
Calgary Transit -- several bus routes run through the area and
the C-Train is available at nearby Brentwood station. Many other
facilities and services can be found within its boundaries, including
schools, churches, shopping plazas and malls. Also nearby are
the University of Calgary, Calgary Public Library (Nose Hill
Branch) and sports facilities. An active community association
runs several programs and activities for all ages from the
centrally located community centre. And its most important and
outstanding feature (in the writer's opinion, who is also a
resident) -- a quality of life that is enhanced by the many
parks and open spaces where you can take a quiet stroll, enjoy
a fun-filled family outing, or just watch nature up close. (Click
