This world reknown facility is named after Joseph Tyrrell who discovered the bones of Albertosaurus, a carnivorous cousin of Tyrannosaurus Rex, in the Drumheller area in 1884. The museum houses one of the world's most complete collections of dinosaur skeletons and is a leader in the study and research of dinosaurs and their sudden disappearance.
