From this vantage point, you are looking generally in a northwest direction over the South, Central and Northwest parts of Calgary. It's about 35
kilometres to the downtown core (visible on the right edge), and another 15-20 kilometres to the homes just visible on the hill in the central part of
the image - the communities of Edgmont and Hawkwood. Unfortunately the day this image was made was quite overcast and unusually humid for Calgary,
resulting in a haze which obscured many landmarks. Although this location is about 10 km south of the city limit, land in the
foreground is already starting to show signs of development.
