Skyline against Chinook Arch |
|
| Taken from Tom Campbell hill, near the Zoo, one warm windy day in January 2001. Although not sunny (yet), the temperature had risen nearly 30 degrees in 6 hours. The word "chinook" is derived from an Indian word or expression meaning "snow eater", which describes well how the snow disappears when one blows in. High resolution photo (160 KB). |
