Elk in Town
| Although they appear tame, Banff's growing elk population was becoming a major concern for town and park administrators due to the number and frequency of human - animal encounters (often with the humans getting seriously injured). Banff recently initiated a relocation program to move the majority of elk to more remote areas of the park, thereby avoiding these problem situations. | ||
