A must-stop for anyone planning to hike the back country - this is where you can get the latest news and information concerning hiking trail conditions, bear and other wildlife sightings, upcoming events, as well as information about the many interpretive programs run by the park staff. Friends of Banff Park also run a souvenir kiosk inside. And overlooking the whole scene - the north summit of Mt Rundle.
		More shops and villas in these chalet-style buildings along Bear Street - one block west of Banff Avenue. As usual, Cascade Mountain dominates the skyline to the north.
