Canada Olympic Park
|
Canada Olympic Park ("COP") was the site of ski jumping, freestyle skiing, bobsleigh and luge events during the 1988 Olympic
Winter Games in Calgary. Located on Calgary's western edge, it continues
to draw crowds of Calgarians for the sports mentioned above plus skiing, skeleton sledding, and snowboarding. And in summer, the
park is transformed into a mecca for bmx riders and mountain bikers. The photos in this section give a glimpse into this world class facility. By the way, plans have just been announced for a major expansion of facilities at COP.
