The halfpipe facility -- added in the late 1990's. Other advanced snowboarding facilities are nearby, including the large snow jumps visible at the left and right edges of the photo. Advanced boarders who hit them with speed can take a lot of air (see next page).

Ski jump towers, outruns and the bowl area. Over 100,000 spectators jammed into the bowl area (just out of view on the right) to watch competitors during the Olympics. The fan favourite -- Eddie "the Eagle" Edwards from Great Britain. These facilities are still used by Canada's ski-jump team for training.
