Waterton Lakes National Park
|
Waterton Lakes National Park lies in the southwest corner of Alberta, adjacent to the province of BC and
to Glacier National Park in Montana. Together, Waterton and Glacier are known as the International Peace
Park, an arrangement between Canada and the USA in the 1930's. Located about 250 kilometers south west of
Calgary (it takes less than 3 hours to drive), Waterton is not as well known or heavily visited as Banff
Park. However, we feel it is every bit as scenic.
This photo depicts the classic Waterton view -- looking down Upper Waterton Lake past the Prince of Wales
Hotel. Other photos in our collection give a sampling of the scenery and activities that await visitors.
