The reservoir above Canmore, looking west in November at the right turn to the Nordic Skiing Centre. The road continues left, climbing steeply to Spray Lakes and Kananaskis Country, via the Smith Dorien Highway. There are extensive cross-country ski trail-heads all along the road, including a trail to Banff starting a couple of kilometres ahead.
