West End Condos - 6th Ave.

We recently visited a favourite construction site - "Condo Corner" - and found yet another development starting.
Notice the equipment in the right foreground, which moved onto this site in February. The project is called "Riverwest" and
will comprise 2 new towers of 23 and 27 storeys. (Click here for a closer look at the site). This shot sets the new site in context with all the other (now) familiar sites that have recently been completed or are underway: West Pointe Plaza (left background), the AXXIS (left foreground), Discovery Pointe (cranes, centre background), the Marquis (right background). It also presents a stark contrast to the view from 2 years ago, when we started ViewCalgary. |
