| A recent item in David Parker's column (Calgary Herald) drew our attention to the imminent demise of this old low-rise on the southwest corner of 3rd Ave and 7th St SW. The structure is making way for an 8-storey retirement residence called Central Park Lodge, which will have 146 suites, theatre, various dining facilities and other amenities, all within the confines of the building. According to Parker, it is supposed to open August 2002. |
