One of the interesting features of Banker's Hall (which dominates this view) is the way the east tower incorporates the facade of the old Canada Life Assurance building (grey section on right edge of photo) in its design. Several projects have followed (or are planning to follow) Bankers Hall lead in preserving Calgary's heritage structures. For a recent example, see our tour of the Hyatt Regency Hotel which preserved the facades of several old sandstone buildings along Stephen Avenue.
