Calgary Downtown Tour Looking East at 5 Avenue and 9 Street SW

Caution is indeed required when crossing the C-Train tracks. For drivers it is just a matter of obeying the lights and staying back from the barriers. You can have endless amusement at this intersection watching drivers coming in from the left, and stopping right under the barrier when the lights change. At that point the barrier descends and bounces lightly on their hood or roof, while they suddenly become very occupied with something in the glove box.

For pedestrians it is necessary to obey the lights and use eyes and ears, because the trains are so quiet.
