| Calgary Downtown Tour | Looking East at 7 Avenue and 7 Street SW |
|
The C-Train is passing in front of one of Calgary's earliest "modern" skyscrapers -- the Elveden Centre. At 20 storeys the middle tower, which was the first of the three towers to be completed in 1960, was the tallest building in the city until the Calgary Tower came along in 1967. The glass canopy houses an attractive corridor linking the three towers and providing locations for a number of small shops including a flower shop, jewellers, drug store and smoke shop. |
