Ahead on the left is one of the most artful carpark designs in the city. The multi-level park is clad outside to look like a stylish brick warehouse conversion. Some have criticised the expense, but it sure is an impressive addition, with its Plus 15 walkway looking out across 9th ave. In the distance ahead, we are looking at the glass-clad tower that houses the CPR head offices. It is actually only two blocks away, pushed out by the wide-angle lens. Known as Gulf Canada Square, it housed the main offices of Gulf Canada, a major integrated oil company that could trace it origins in Canada back to two early players in the oil patch -- British American Oil ("BA") and Royalite. Gulf subsequently spun off their products marketing and gasoline business to Petro-Canada, but retains an active role as a production and exploration company. They share space with CPR in the building.
