From our viewpoint in the shade from the lush gardens surrounding McDougall Centre we catch some shirt-sleeve executives on their way into work one late spring morning. They have likely parked in one of the many parking lots that dot the landscape to our right, near the river. But not for long -- more condo construction is about to start up, which will improve the overall west-downtown landscape, but at the expense of surface parking. Meanwhile, just ahead on the right stands the McFarlane Building and the 400 Club, a lunch scene where big deals are often made.
