Calgary Downtown Tour Looking West at 6 Avenue and Centre Street S

We have stepped back a bit from this intersection to gain some perspective. Over the years, Centre Street has informally divided the built up "West-side" from the more quaint and historical east part of the downtown, although that situation is now rapidly changing.

This shot features one of the city's more interesting heritage buildings -- the 4-storey Oddfellows Temple --on the right, while on the left stands the Hanover Building. Its main lobby affords an interesting view of Petro-Canada Centre just across the street.
