Location: 3 Ave & 3 St SW
Named for Canterra Energy, a Canadian
subsidiary of the French company Elf Aquitaine and the building's intended
principal occupant, the tower was completed in 1988. Unfortunately for Canterra staff,
they never moved in - Husky Oil acquired the company a few months prior to the
move-in date and relocated all staff to their headquarters in
Western Canadian Place.
Today the tower is regarded as the most desirable address for a business. As our photos show, its location offers unparalleled views in all directions, particularly of the river valley and west to the mountains. Also, check out the sculpture entitled "Friendship" outside the front door.
