Stephen Avenue Walk

Stephen Avenue, a hub of activity in the downtown scene throughout the year, features its own special blend of
colour and merriment during the 10 days of Stampede. Outdoor cafes (both at street
level and on open decks above), crafts booths, street entertainers, and a host of other
activities cater to throngs of stampede visitors along the 6-block route. Rope
Square (ie. Olympic Plaza), with its own schedule of activities, borders the
east end of the street. These photos only suggest
the fun and atmosphere that is an important part of the Stampede experience. During your
next visit to the
stampede, be sure to visit Stephen Avenue and take in some of these festivities. |
