Just inside the main entrance to the Stampede Grounds lies
Weadickville, a peaceful refuge from the noise and crowds of the midway. Fashioned after a small
prairie town of the early 1900's, it offers the wares of a number of popular merchants from the
small-sized stores. One of Calgary's daily newspapers also moves its stampede coverage team here
to report on the rodeo and wagon races and all other stampede happenings during its 10 day run.
