"Come and join us in this world class celebration of winter", says Duncan Daniels, President of the Calgary Winter Festival Foundation, in hIs message to all Calgarians.

The Calgary Winter Festival has its origins in the 1988 Olympic Winter Games that were held here. Every year since, Calgarians have come out in celebration of winter, reliving the excitement of those games and turning the event into a 10 day festival of fun and frolic.
