In this evening view the shadow of the Calgary Tower points to the Municipal Building and the "East Village" beyond. In the middle the Canadian Pacific rails point east towards the Bow River as it passes south of the Calgary zoo, then flows over a weir before curving south. Between the rails and the river is Fort Calgary at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow rivers. The rails cross the Elbow river before heading south to Alyth Yards.
