Across the upper part of the photograph are the Jubilee Auditorium, Alberta College of Art and SAIT campus, with its fine old "Heritage Hall" in the middle This view is of the LRT and Louise Bridges, carrying commuter traffic towards Kensington Ahead is the 14th Street bridge over the Bow river, and to its left you can see Bow Trail curving as it crosses the CPR tracks Looking over the upscale condos of Eau Claire, we see Sunnyside, with Rosedale and Crescent Heights The view west takes in the ski jump at Canada Olympic Park, about 14 km away at the top-left. To its right are the buildings of Foothills Hospital about 7 km away About 11 km to the northwest is the University of Calgary campus, seen here just below the horizon

Late in 1999 we had the chance to take photographs from the roof of Trimac House near the west end of Calgary's downtown. Vision was restricted to the northwest quadrant of the city, and we were hampered by an evening haze. However, with the west end being developed, these pictures with serve as a reminder of the old houses that used to be there.
