Facing NW, this is "Oil Patch" HQ, a modern world of business towers, yet possessing gems of the old west at its core. Note the historic "Hudson Bay" store in the foreground, and the sandstone church before it. In the distance lie the University of Calgary, SAIT, College of Art, the Jubilee Auditorium and McMahon Stadium. Just beyond downtown is the Kensington shopping area across the Louise Bridge.
