To the SE is Victoria Park, an old residential area earmarked for an expanded Stampede Park. In the foreground, along 11th and 12 Avenues, are old warehouses - many of which are being renovated into fashionable condominiums and offices. The escarpment just past the Saddledome is popularly known as Scotsman's Hill, which has a commanding, (and free), view of the Calgary Stampede and the Race Track.
