We are standing on 11th Ave facing west at the intersection with Olympic Way, (4th St), with Dusty's Saloon on our right. Across the street at 438 11th Ave. SE is Neilsons Furniture Warehouse, built in 1912 by a company that had been established in 1894. It was a typical Calgary business of the time, operating a warehouse here and a store on downtown's Stephen Ave.

In the next block at 318 - 11th Ave. SE, is a building that was constructed in 1911 as a typical warehouse for Massey Harris. The floors were designed to be the height of railcars of that time. On our left is the Victoria Community School. (back)
