| Zoom towards Scotsmans Hill This
is the area between 11th and 14th Aves, from 3rd
to 6th street. SE. At the top is the famed
Scotsmans Hill, noted for its free views of Stampede Park
along Salisbury St in Ramsay. In the foreground
is the Victoria Community School and beyond it is
Olympic Way at
the intersection with 12th Ave. At top left is
the Community
Centre and the Rundle
Ruins, just out of frame. To the right at
14th St is the former Weston Bakery, now
used for Stampede storage.
At bottom-left is the former DeFehr Warehouse,
and next to it is the Victoria School Bungalow,
built in 1919 as a low-cost substitute for
sandstone buildings. Across 3rd St on this side
is the Fairey Terrace. (back)
