We are standing on 12th Ave looking northwest across 3rd Street at the Fairey Terrace.

Just south of Lindsay Park you can see where modern developers have tried to recreate the atmosphere of the terraced housing at 1111 3 St. SE in Victoria Park. Built around 1903 - 1906 by Frank Fairey, the residences are the earliest example of terraced housing in Calgary. Each block has twelve apartments with their own separate entries. (back)
