This is the area between 10th and 18th avenues, from Mcleod Trail, (heading south), to 1st street. SW. Below us, out of frame, is the CPR station, Palliser Hotel and a parkade which exits onto 10th avenue by the Apartment building seen in the foreground. Beyond that are the TransAlta Utilities offices at 1110 1st street SW.

In the middle-left is the Bernard Callebaut building and the retail outlet, a mecca for chocolate lovers. Past that at 17th avenue is Ed's Restaurant. Further along 17th avenue, off-picture to the left, is Macleod Trail heading north, with Fire Hall #2 nearby. There are some interesting buildings on 18th avenue, including Condominiums, a turreted residence, a Bridal shop, and the Rouleauville monument at 2nd street. (back)
