We are looking northeast towards 17th Ave. Behind us is 18th Ave and the Mission District, which has its own heritage tour to celebrate the former French Canadian district named Rouleauville after the pioneer brothers Charles and Edward Rouleau. This park recognizes the history of the area, and is quite a pleasant surprise when you come across it.

Ahead is La Chaumiere, a fine restaurant and an interesting building, in keeping with the district. (back)
