The makeup and baggy pants hide some of the bravest, (or craziest), guys in the Rodeo. During the Bull Riding events experienced clowns risk injury to protect cowboys in trouble and if there isn't any trouble they relax by playing with the bulls. Clowns also keep the crowd entertained while the chutes are loaded and riders are prepared for the other events. The constant banter with the announcer keeps the show rhythm going.
